“Coincidences mean you're on the right path.” ― Simon Van BooyI realize this thread is a couple years old, but I stumbled on it today and am still in disbelief about such a big coincidence!I'm a new grad (also from wilmington, de) and I am pursuing perioperative nursing in GBMC's GOR. I had a practicum in the OR and loved it, but received some comments/suggestions about new nurses starting out in the OR. Most of the OR nurses I talked to started out in med-surg and believed that new grads pursuing peri-op nursing should also. I don't know if you've had much experience with new nurses in the OR, but would you strongly suggest that med-surg be the first "stomping grounds" before heading into the GOR?Also, how do u like working in GBMC's GOR, or just GBMC in general?
