Newly Certified Nurse Aide w/ LPN Question

Hi everybody! I am new to the healthcare field, and allnurses.com. Glad to have found this website. I've been lurking and I like what I see. Anyway, I plan to start taking an LPN Program next summer. My question is, I currently live in VA, but I would like to move back to NY within a year of becoming an LPN. Does anyone know if I would be able to carry that license over to NY via just filling out a form for reciprocity, or would I need to take other steps? Responses appreciated. Thank You!
I think so, but check with the NY state board of nursing. If they are a compact state then you should be fine transferring your license.
