I need advice I am so confused

I am a new graduate RN. I graduated over a year ago. I was hired as a superuser to work for UCLA for only 3 months. After that position ended, I got an interview at UCLA because it was for internals only. However i did not land an RN job. Now there is another superuser position that will last until april 2014. I don't know if I should go for that position or just go look for an RN position at any place including skilled nursing facility. I really want RN work experience. I don't want it to be two years later and I still can't get experience as an RN. I need advice. Please help. My boyfriend said I should give up on chasing after UCLA and go get RN work experience otherwise it would look bad to other companies that I am only chasing after UCLA. I don't want my RN career to go down the drain. What do you think?
What exactly is a "superuser" position?

Comment:
I think if UCLA is what you ultimately want, keep chasing. BUT apply elsewhere. Seems like employers, especially the desirable ones, are more likely to hire if you are already employed. If you are lucky enough to not have to worry about money, then just keep doing these 'super-user' contracts until they are willing to hire you.

Superuser is an Epic position. They are trained to be of assistance in the Epic classroom and during "Go-Live" weeks. It's a temporary (usually 3 months) position and is not nursing-related.Quote from ScottE,RNWhat exactly is a "superuser" position?

You should look elsewhere. That doesn't mean give up on UCLA, but find something to tide you over.

EPIC is an electronic medical record system. A super user is skilled in navigating it and provides classroom and unit-based education in the system during the ramp up to go-live and the go-live period.

Aha, thanks. Just shows to go you, as my dad would say.

Thanks everyone I will go hunt for an RN job. Hopefully I will be successful .
