Weekend Only ShiftRating: (votes: 0) Does anyone else work this schedule or have any thoughts? I have to decide by Tuesday. Thanks! I would take it. Is this the Baylor plan? If it is, then absolutely because these positions are not easy to come by. Great schedule! Comment:
Some people prefer working only weekends. So if it works for you, go for it!

It's Friday thru Sunday, 12 hr shifts.

Not too bad. The question is, will you be OK with being unavailable for family stuff on weekend days?

Husband is home 2 weeks of every month (gone 2 weeks), so I am either working or asleep when he is home since I now work nights. If he worked Monday-Friday it would interfere but I don't think it will much since I will have 4 days off/week and see him during that time.

So you would be working 36 hours........which is full-time. what's the perk will they be giving you? additional money on top of the differential? what would your vacation policy be. (weekends are typically off limits for vacations so would you only be able to take fridays off? or are their exceptions for you?)

$7 more per hour. One weekend off every six months.I am scheduled to speak with HR for all the details on Tuesday. I just know I can't stay in my current job. Lol

Tough one. While you're at HR, find out the policy for taking time off (NOT the once every six months). Honestly, you'd have to know what your home life and commitments are like to know if this will work. It would absolutely NOT work in my family. I used to work nights, and while I wasn't always a fan of it, I DID have every Friday morning (after working Thurs night) through Sun evening off (returned to work Sun 11p). Which made it workable. But having kids and (virtually) never having a weekend off for activities? I wish you luck!

Take it, good for you! Wish I had this opportunity, perfect for kids!

Night shift breaks your body down, and to me, changes your personality. You will feel better with this new job.
