Contact center nurse questions

Our hospital is starting a new position of contact center nurses. The description says its to refer, educate, and enroll patients to our facility with variable schedule. Does anyone have a position like this in their facility? I was just wondering what it's like and what the hours are like. I am getting tired of the bedside. Thanks!
