RN salary 2013 California Ohio and MI

Hi everyone I would like to know how much you guys are making per hour. My hubby wants to move to MI. We are currently living in social. I started my new job as an RN ( night shift) at $28.78 without differential ($4.00 night shift plus $2.00 weekends, plus $1 for my BSN) . Please feel free to PM if you prefer that!
Ohio new grad approximately 25.00 an hour in a hospital. Where I work we don't get extra for BSN, shift diff of about $5 an hour. But the cost of living here is much less than California.

I'm a new grad in Michigan but I haven't started working yet, from everything I have heard the starting pay for new grads in the Lansing area is around 26-27/hr not counting shift differentials. I believe most places only offer an additional dollar an hour for BSN for bedside positions. In the metro Detroit area new grads are starting around $26/hr I believe. My hospital has a 7% shift diff for nights, and $2/hr for weekends.

Damn you guys should move to downstate NY. Entry level is starting at 37/hour without differential for nights or BSN right off the bat. 1500$ more per certification, etc etc.

I interviewed for a hospital-based SNF position in central CA last year. The pay rate was $32 hourly based on my years of experience. The wage grid for this hospital ranged from $30 to $40 hourly. This was located in a small, isolated town 50 miles from the nearest large city.

In Western Michigan, the starting rate for a new grad is about $24 an hour. I believe our cost of living is a bit lower than the east side of the state and Ohio, though. And certainly much lower than California.(I'm guessing when you said you're currently in "social", you typed "socal" or South California and your auto correct switched it. Darn you auto correct! )

Yes the West side of the state probably has a slightly lower cost of living. Western MI is beautiful. Haven't been over there in a long time.
