What if the federal government read allnurses?

Rating:
(votes: 5)

I read and relate to posts and topics regarding nurses being overworked, not taking breaks, crying, feeling like they want to run from the hospital beer to come back again. Feel like they are giving subpar care because that's all we humanly are able to give.the medication errors that are due to understaffing and the near misses.

Would the federal government consider making a change for safari reasonably staffing and work conditions?

Just wondering
Probably not. I'm sure they're pretty well aware of many of these issues as well as challenges faced by other workers. But change happens from political pressure, not awareness.

There's hospital beer on the safari? I'd like to work there.

Really hate the auto correct on my I phone. No matter how many times I change it, it switches back. And there is a delay on my phone. Sorry about that.

First they would have to care. So i doubt anything would happen.

It would have to take a MASS exodus of nurses, especially non union nurses leaving or demonstrating about the issues across the country for even a conversation to get started. I say non-union because there is this idea that unions are bad....if private sector employees are picketing, including agency and new grads, and no one want to work at any of the facilities, including support staff, that will certainly make a difference...

Comment:
Or if everyone unionized and became active in the union we'd have more bargaining power with healthcare facilities. But the government does not like to step in the toes of private business.

They can't get insurance right, not much hope.

I'm sure the federal government reads AN. And I'm sure that they see our posts as just rants on some random internet forum and so don't put a lot of stock in it. After all, anything and everything is on the web nowadays, there's no special trick to it. Yes, I know AN is far more than that to us. But in their eyes, what makes us special? I don't see the government really caring about all of the masses, not when the Almighty Dollar and political interests seem to be first on their minds.

Comment:
I kind of doubt that the federal government cares about nurses working in the private sector.

I doubt it. They are more concerned with saving money re medicare/medicaid and keeping their lobbyists happy!
