I'm grateful for you crusty old bats

70 Nowhere else is it permissible to crack up over a death. Nowhere else are gross things normal. Nowhere else can I vent about a ream of awful prima donna patients without being told I have no compassion.

I admire the crusty old bats - my mom is a "crusty old bat" and I admire her for it.My nursing instructor is a crusty old bat and expects me to become one overnight. I'm still a newbie and I haven't earned that title yet but someday, I hope I will. The bad smells don't phase me, the overly anxious doctors who only want a patient's signature don't scare me... it's just those certain nurses that eat their young that freak me out. *sigh*
