I have been a RN for about 10 months now working at LTC on rehab floor. I enjoy my job and try to learn everything I can each day but at the end of the day I feel like I am not getting the experience I want to become the nurse I strive to be one day. I know there is alot of learning still at my current employment and Im not planning on switching for atleast 1-2yrs (want to obtain BSN). I guess you can say I feel unsatisfied on the depth of knowegle I am learning. I wanted to work in a hosptial and work my way into ICU. I want to be the best nurse I can and obtain as much knowledge i can from each situation I encounter. Does anyone else feel the same way as I do? Anyone have have tips on achieving my goals? Keeping up on my skills (IV, EKG etc)
thanks

Sign up to be PRN/float pool in a hospital a few days a month. The extra money won't hurt, and you'll see/do more.
