IF you WEREN'Ta nurse what would you be???

1 Ok...SO I am curious because at least once a month, I don't want to be a nurse. Maybe something triggers that or IDK, but I actually think I could be a singer. Or just travel the world...but I would need alot of money for that. Maybe a farmer- I know sounds crazy but...sometimes I just want to be free like that.

I went to school for 6 years and studied art...then I made the switch because I knew it would be a "fall-back career.
Art is an unpredictable market so...
Now...wait a minute...for all you hecklers out there, I enjoy being a nurse, and this "fall-back" thing was when I first started. My view has changed, so don't post anything passing judgement.

So....yeah.... If you weren't a nurse what would you be? (esp. in this dry desert of an economy)

I would have kept trying to get back into the military, I think, had I not gone back to RN school - so I'd like to say I'd be a public affairs/protocol officer in the Air Force. I love all the pomp and circumstance and who-walks-in-after-who and sits-on-who's-right-or-left; I love tradition and the whole rent-a-crowd thing.Barring that, probably a teacher. That's what I started out in, anyway.

If I hadn't fallen in love with nursing (And thankfully I did!) I would be pre-med or pre-denistry right now.I know, I didn't veer off the path too much...

A linguist or interpreter. I've always been good at learning or acquiring new languages (I spent 2 weeks in Germany and by the end I could follow conversations somewhat, having no experience with the language previously). I'm mostly fluent in Spanish, even though it's never been spoken in my home and I've never spent significant time in a Spanish-speaking country. I gravitated towards nursing because it's applied biology/anatomy/physiology, which I've also always been good at, so I think if I weren't a nurse I would gravitate towards my other aptitude

I adore my dogs. I think in an ideal universe I would breed and train dogs, and maybe have a little hobby farm that generated a little cash on the side. I don't think there is much money in that -- guess I better stick to my 76K plus shift diff.

LOL I've often thought as you. What could I do besides nursing? I did want to be a librarian because I love books so much and I love to read. But right now? Gee. I think I would want to be a writer.

I would work with the developmentally disabled population. This is what I did for several years and continued while in nursing school. I worked as a PCA and absolutely LOVED it (all but the poor wages). When I passed my boards, I resigned. Maybe I'll do it again when I retire.

I would go back to my old job... grammar police! Seriously, I love to edit all types of things, so probably either that or human resources manager.

a police officer.........i may be heading that route in a year or two... sometimes it's not about the money, but the passion and i still feel drivin despite it'll be thousands of dollars less annually. my wife says "hell no!"
