intermediate telemetryRating: (votes: 1) Thanks You will need to learn EKG's there are some sites on line that you could start working on. Also, there is a stroke learning site with NIH, you most likely will need to be certified with this stroke certification to work on that floor. IT is going to be much faster pace than sub-acute or LTC. Learn how to correlate vital signs with medications that you will be giving, how the medication affects B/P and heart rate. Good Luck!!!! Thank you. The hospital I was hired at has all the training on EKG etc. They hire a lot of new grads. Just a little nervous about the different pts and skills. I know it will take time to become comfortable. Hate being the new one
