What job will you do for your semi-retirement?

6 For some of you, retirement is just around the corner. Has anyone thought of doing something else part time after you have retired from nursing?

I was thinking it would be nice to work in a plant nursery in the good weather, have a Per Diem nursing job, have a booth in an antique mall to maintain, and also buy stuff on the cheap from Craigslist, and resell for more, after cleaning it up and/or refurbishing.

That would keep my mind from rotting and keep me engaged with the world, at my own pace.
I would like to run a little gift shop in a beach town during the nice weather months

I think I'll be spending my retirement years doing what I did in my non-retirement years: WORKING!

I will likely be one of those individuals who will work in nursing past the age of 65 (God willing) and will die before I ever collect a dime of the $$$ I invested in SS (entitlement my arse).

I have planned on teaching nursing part time for a little while after retiring from the full time hospital job. I now work the hospital job full time and teach an occasional course for a local university.Who put that picture of a lady's blank face in my avatar space? That's not me, folks. I look nothing like that. Hmmm.. I go away for a few days and come back to find a strange face in my spot. I'll have to try to get rid of that.

Yeah, I plan on working still but from home. Maybe something like an advice nurse for a health insurance company.
