Could I do THIS to get into an NP program?Rating: (votes: 0) At this point (and with experience) do you know of any: 1. Nurse practitioner programs that would accept me with these qualifications? My reasoning is that I might find such a program, seeing as how I would have A. an RN license, and B. a 4-year degree. I have a feeling that many (but maybe not all) programs would require that I have an actual 4-year degree in nursing. What are your thoughts on this? 2. Assuming the idea from above is not possible, do you know if there exist any schools that offer a transition program from an Associates RN to NP? Thanks. I am in a similar situation. Bachelor's Degree (mine is in Art History). I am starting school for my ADN this fall. The school at which I plan to pursue my MSN/NP has a program for RN's who have a bachelor's in something other than nursing (this school is located in Virginia). Basically that program is the same as the regular master's program for someone with a BSN, but there are 2 additional classes. Not too shabby!Hope this helps a bit - looking forward to seeing what others say.Joy |
