travel nurse to california making 3000-6000 per wk

Has anyone out there heard of RN's making $6000 per week on a one week assignment (40hrs)? I had heard this at work and was wondering if this is possible. If so how do I inquire about this? I am looking for a per diem assignment. California was the only state I had heard about.

I'm gonna take a stab that this '1 week' position was probably not at 40 hours but perhaps at 60 or even 72. Many, many strke nurses made more than 6 grand for a week of work during our latest strikes.Some people will pay lots of money for positions not everyone will take. I put it on par with the '200k for work in Iraq' thread. Some think the trade-offs are worth it---many, many do not.To each his own!Also, if this position wasn't a line crossing strike postion then, of course, please disregard

The biggest bucks for travel nursing assignments are working strikes and even then I doubt it's $150.00/hour. I think you're misinformed.
It depends......How many 12 hour shifts because time and one half after 8 hours applys. Some companies require 48 to 60 hours per week. If not adhered to, money will be deducted from paycheck.....so there are many variables to consider.
