Is it legal to test for marijuana before surgery without patient knowledge?

I completed a recovery program for medical professionals over 2 years ago. I recently relapsed on marijuana about 15 days ago. I have not used since, and I have been honest with my NA group. My question is this: I am having a major surgery on October 5th, and I want to know will I be tested for drugs? If so, and I'm positive, will I be reported to the State by my doctor because I am a medical professional?
