I really want to be a Registered Nurse

Hello there! I am currently a Junior in high school, I was wondering is it really hard to get into a BSN program at a university? I do have good grades, I believe my GPA is around 3.6 to 3.8. I'm not sure, its around there. If I am not accepted into a BSN program what other route can I take to become a Registered Nurse? I am looking anywhere in Chicago or Miami, someone please help.
Well, two things.First, private college vs. public. Public is much more affordable, but private colleges are easier to get into.Secondly, do you have a lot of math and science? If you do, your odds of getting accepted into a public program are much better - and your in-state tuition will be much lower.Good luck!
Due to a shortage of nurisng instructors university BSNs have some tough requirements.Some schools make you take the pre-reqs the first two years and then apply to the nursing school. So you need to make real good grades those first two years in the university.Good luck. All you can do is apply and see what happens.
Makek use of your school counselor. Take brochures of all nursing schools in your areas and know what their requirements are. Then apply to the ones that seems suitable to you. I wish you the best.
