Future Nurse in AZ

Hi,
I am wondering if anyone can offer some advice or give me some direction:
I am currentley waiting to get into nursing school here in AZ, long wait for the community colleges.
I need to work while I am waiting, and I used to work as a Patient Care tech in Labor and Deliver. I had a CNA certification here in AZ, years ago. I have not worked in healthcare for about 12 years. I am trying to find an employer that I can get re-certified through and work while I complete school.
Any ideas or option would be greatly appreciated.
