RN to BSN or Hospital AdministrationRating: (votes: 1) You should contact LunahRN (maybe she will see this thread). She has a spreadsheet that she did when she was considering RN to BSN programs. She could give you the link to it. She put it in a post on one of the threads (in the Distance Learning forum?). You will need 15 posts though, before you can send her a PM. :typing Comment: Check this thread out here: http://allnurses.com/forums/f125/rn-...ne-105380.htmlComment: YIKES!!!! I would advise you to avoid Hospital Administration unless it is coupled with an MSN program. Admin jobs are the 'mostest scariest' of all - very vulnerable to the whims of the CEO. As a nurse, even with an MHA you will undoubtedly be relegated to nursing management roles, but without an MSN, you can't move into a nurse executive role. The average tenure is very short - after all, it's always easier to fire the coach than get rid of the team. I would advise you 'younguns' to go for an MSN/MBA or MSN/JD combo if you want to be a healthcare mover-&-shaker. Those are very powerful combos that represent specialzed skill sets rather than a jack-of-all-trades MHA.
