I am currently in an accelerated BSN program and will be graduating in August 09. Prior to going back to school I was a medic in the air force and worked in the following areas:
ICU step down, med-surg 3 years
ER 2 years
Clinics (OB/GYN, Family practice) 1 year
Flight Medic 3 years
Staff Education and training 3 years

I am now trying to figure out what I want to do and find a specialty that is in demand. The only thing that I have ruled out is the OR, standing for that long would isn't my idea of fun.

I really have an open mind, I live in NJ where we have some great hospitals, but a lot of cut backs. I am not rooted here, and would love to hear some feedback as to areas you may be able to enlighten me about and shortages in fields that you are seeing. My original thought was to go into hospice which I also have experience in, but I am not sure that the market is really supporting that decision.
