I hate paperwork.

Hey, all. I've been a nurse for exactly one year. I work nights on a busy tele floor. I love the patients, I love my co-workers, I even love the docs (most times). I enjoy working hard, and I really like any and all kind of patient contact.

But I hate paperwork. And as such, I really stink at it. And I feel like I'm DROWNING in it. It's like every day there's another dumb form that I have to fill out, another dozen stupid little boxes that I have to check off. All manner of useless busywork that keeps me from actually taking care of people, which is why I got into this business in the first place. It's driving me nuts.

So, my question is: Is there an area of nursing that involves less paperwork and more patient contact? Somewhere where I can make my adult ADD work in my favor?

Thanks for listening.
Not really a specialty, but rather I think it depends on the institution you work for.
