Foreign midwife in US

Hi,
I'm an american citizen who completed my RN studies in america. I immigrated to Ireland because my husband was based there for work for several years. While there I completed my midwifery studies and worked there as a midwife for 4 years.
I will soon be returning to the States and wanted to know if anyone can tell me if I can work as a midwife in the states?
