New CNA hoping to become an RN having some difficulty

Hi everyone, I came here to look for advice because I know there are more people here that have gone through what I'm going through. I am nineteen years old and want to become a nurse. I decided to become a CNA to be able to pay for college without much of my parents' help. I just became certified by the state of Florida in August . I have been applying everywhere in Miami and have not been able to get a job due to my lack of experience. Just how am I suposed to get experience if nobody will hire me because I don't have any?
The truth is that everyone who comes to Miami from a foreign country usually becomes a CNA as soon as they get here, and because of this there is not really a CNA shortage in Miami, there are many experienced CNAs here. So what should I do? I don't want to give up on my dreams. I am making plans on starting on my pre reqs for an ASN program at MDC this spring, any tips for me on getting a job as an inexperienced CNA?
I'm in the same exact boat, except I haven't challenged the exam yet. But that's my plan as well. I have a few friends that are MAs and CNAs, they did a ton of calling Dr.'s offices and LTC/retirement facilities. You could also try calling a few medical staffing agencies, maybe a professional could help you find the right setting to get on your feet! I've already found a couple here in Tampa I plan on calling as soon as I pass!Good luck on your ASN and job hunt!!

Ugh!!! But all the agencies around here require two years of experience as well. I'm going crazy here.

I wish I knew what else to recommend! Try calling some local LTC facilities to see if they have openings.. or maybe try speaking with somebody at a local hospital. You'll find something!!
