phlebotomy when student?

I have read lately how difficult it became to find an RN job as a new grad. Plus in my situation I will need employment along with my nursing education. To get my foot in the door and be employed in the field while student I was thinking of getting a phlebotomy certification while I am taking the pre-req's for the nursing education. What are your thoughts about this? Anything differently I could think? Thank you in advance.
