Clinical Coordinator

1 Hello Everyone,
It has been a while since I last logged on to the site. I had been lurking around though for some advice ever since I became an RN since spring 2008. I spent one year and three months working in the telemetry floor and transferred to the ortho/med surg floor since last Spetember till present. Last month, my nurse manager in ortho offered me a clinical coordinator position that I graciously declined cause I do not feel comfortable taking on the position/ I am not happy in this floor. I love my patients and I always get high remarks from them, yet something about a clinical coordinator position on the floor just did not seem to feel right. At the same time, I really miss my old floor and the staff I worked with over there always asked me when I am going back to the floor. Why I left, it was because as a first nursing job, i felt so stressed out and overwhelmed. But ortho floor is no different. The only difference I had noticed was I had very good support in my old floor. Ortho, nada....but I always try to make the best out of the situation. Last Friday, the nurse manager on my old floor saw me at the hallway and started talking to me about how things were. To make the long story short, she wanted me to come back to the old floor and take on a clinical coordinator position. I thought to myself....2 offers within a month for a chance to advance in my career. I told her I will think about it and will get in touch with her soon. My thing is...my nurse managers see something in me that I am not seeing. Am I ready for this advancement? Should I take the offer? I feel like an idiot turning down for the second time an opportunity for advancement and pay raise. What should I do?
