Accelerated BS to RN-CNP vs. Traditional HELP?!!

Hi, I have recently decided to be a nurse practitioner rather than PA and am wondering about the different routes. I am almost done with a biology degree so I have the option of doing the accelerated program to nurse practitioner or doing the BSN and then waiting a few years and then going on to nurse practitioner. I am wondering a few things. What would you do? Do hospitals prefer one over the other? What gives better education? I do not know what specialty would be interesting but family practice seems to be rewarding. Thanks for your time.

Swank, I am glad you posted this because I am going through the exact situation you are going through!! I have first tried to pursue a PA career but am now switching to NP...I, too, am confused which route I should take to get my master's in Nursing..I am considering either of the routes you mentioned, but I'm not sure which route is better..Hopefully more people rely to your post because it would sure help us both out!
