nurse extern treated rudely at hospital - any advise?

i had the most horrible day. 2 years of school and i finally have a job in a large hospital. after 4 days of corporate training i was thrown on the floor with techs, who i'm learning have some hatred towards nursing students. it was the rudest i've been treated in my entire life. i found myself crying in the back room for almost an hour. i even felt berated by the stoic charge nurse. i realize i will have to develop some better "office politic" skills. any advise?
Just keep being as nice and competent as possible. Many will warm up to you and the ones that don't won't really have anything negative to complain about. Sometimes it just takes time. Hang in there and no more crying!
