Done with acute care -- Need Help to Change

Well i have done my first year post nursing school on a very busy tough tele floor and I am more than ready to move on. I am thankful for many things most of all for having a job in this economy in the first place but I am just not happy. I have
always wanted to do research or public health nursing but am having trouble finding an entry level job with only a year in but I desperately want to move on. Any ideas on how to get into research nursing and where to start looking?
