Canadian nurse to relocate to Atlanta

Hi! I am a nurse working in Quebec, Canada. I graduated in 2007, and since have mostly worked in Med-surg and mother-baby. My boyfriend is an American and grew up in Atlanta and we have decided to try to move there. I have been kind of discouraged about this move after reading some posts on here. Is getting a nursing job that difficult right now in Atlanta? Is this just a problem with new grads or should I have better luck with my year and a half in med-surg and year in mother-baby? Which hospitals are best for these specialties? Which hospitals are actually hiring right now (Ive heard that Emory is in a hiring freeze)? Where can I get better pay and benefits? Which hospitals would actually be willing to sponsor me as an international worker with NAFTA? If anyone could counsel me with any of this I would really appreciate this! Thank you all!
