RN to PSYCH COUNSELING

I am currently an RN and looking for a career change into pscyh counseling. I was wondering if anyone else is or has pursued this career change?
Psych clinical nurse specialists have traditionally worked as psychotherapists in inpatient or outpatient settings (I've been a child/adolescent and family therapist for years). While most states don't regulate people who only call themselves "counselors" without making any other claims, any legitimate therapist/counseling job will require at least a Master's degree in one of the mental health disciplines.
