CNA PCT Medical assistant... Which path to take?Rating: (votes: 0) I am looking at three options. CNA- quick, jobs available, would have to come up with the money for the course myself and I don't know if I can. PCT- includes phlebotomy training, EKG training... But I don't know if the pay is anymore than a CNA, and the course is a lot longer. I could get it paid for through WIA. Medical assistant- includes CNA, PCT, phlebotomy, and medical transcriptionist training, but I've heard these courses can be a rip off.but I also figure if I can't get a job as a MA, I can fall back on CNA or phlebotomy as a skill. I can also get this course paid for through WIA. I'm also interested if one of these courses is a better precursor to RN school. I've found a night RN course, but it's got such a long waiting list, it will be a while before I start. |
