Nurse Residency Pay

I have searched this site and searched the University HealthSystem Consortium and can't find the answer to this question. This may be a dumb question so I apologize ahead of time! Do Nurse residency programs pay you and if so what is the pay like? Or is this just free training and use of facilities?
Most nurse residency programs do pay you a new grad salary while you are in their program (mine was like $19/hr 3 years ago). However there have been some articles on AllNurses in the last couple months of facilities trying to under-pay or not pay at all. In general though you should expect pay and benefits.
