Best path to becoming a Trauma Nurse

Hey, as an army medic i've really fallen in love with working with trauma. Im getting my CNA right now, and have applications in to two university's and one community college for nursing programs. I'm wondering if anyone can give me any advice on the best path to take to have the best chance of working as a trauma nurse, or just being able to work in the ER. Thanks
