should I put my current program on my resume?Rating: (votes: 2) So I'm starting my MSN/FNP program this fall which may or may not be coinciding with my getting a new part-time job. I update my resume after every major accomplishment, change at work, etc, and every time I leave a job. I'm wondering, under the education section, would it be acceptable to put something like "currently enrolled in RN to MSN/FNP program at such and such school with projected graduation date of such and such?" Or should I just leave the education section as is until I finish the program? I *would* like it to look like I'm doing *something* to further my education as well as offer a bit of an explanation as to why I would only want to work part time or per diem... (obviously the such and such would be the actual name and date ![]() What are your thoughts? Thanks. I would say something about what you are starting, in your cover letter. When you begin the program, I would put it on your resume, in the education section. Giving the time frame: "2011-Current." Being honest may give you someone who is willing to work around your schedule, it also may give you a leg up to other people wanting part-time work. Comment: Definitely include it. Just be sure that it is clear that you are a current student -- not a graduate. The usual way to list current programs is to do it some way similar to what you are planning.
