Career Advice!!

I need advice. I am a new RN. I graduated with a BSN in December and have been working on a neuroscience/telemetry unit since Feb. I do not like my current position so I applied for a public health nurse and got the job in the family planning clinic and I start next month. My future plan is to be a family NP and I just wanted to know if this job will be beneficial for me for my future goals. I am 23 years old and just worried that I will lose my skills in the health dept but a job like this does not come around too often.
