Civilian nurse with the Army Command in Germany

Is there anyone that has experience working as a US nurse working for the military in Germany? I am really interested in moving to Germany from the US. I would like to work with the US Army Medical Command. I have never worked with the military. I have 4 years of experience in the ICU. I am hoping to change to a different area, the OR preferably, if possible. I would like to hear how things are living and working there from the nurse's perspective. Thanks.
HI! Germany is a beautiful place! Have you looked on gov.jobs? I would look at the major hospitals there....Army bases are slowly closing and not much left...just small clinics. I would look into Landstuhl (Air Force Base)...I loved living in Germany....I am a NICU and I was very far from the Air Force base since my husband is in the Army we were at a small base...so I had to put my career on hold and care for the family esp. during the deployments....Check out the Air Force Medical Command...good luck and happy travels!!
