Last Semester Decision- fear has me frozen!

I am in my last semester of the RN program. I love caring for people and have enjoyed the nursing program but I have this fear of being responsible for the life of someone else. I thought this fear would go away as I progressed through the program. Unfortunately, I feel like the fear is worse than ever. I almost think I would do better in medical social services. I have put so much time and money into this program to drop out now or change my mind now seems unthinkable. I thought about speaking with a student advisor and getting some input. Does anyone have any advice for me?
I would look into nursing positions at ambulatory clinics, primary care offices, public health, etc. Lower acuity patients = less chance of 'killing someone' = generally less daily stress and fear for you!If you like peds, see if there are Early Intervention Programs in your area. In addition to nursing care, in EI you'll do a lot of social work, physical therapy, speech therapy, etc with children and families who have disabilities, chronic health problems and/or are impoverished, homeless, undereducated. Its a great start if you do want to go back to school to for Social Services.Hope that helps a little!
