RN ADN BSN program experiencesRating: (votes: 2) The content in an RN-BSN program is totally different from the content in an ADN program. It's not "more lax", it's just theory, research, and writing papers rather than the application stuff you learn during the ADN program. Comment: I'm in an RN-BSN program now- each program probably varies but the program that I'm in meets one night per week. We have no tests, just lots of papers to wrtie, usually some kind of big paper a week. Heavy on the research and APA format. The only course similar to anything in the ADN program I was in was my Public Health Course because you don't get that in an ADN program. That's the only one with a clinical component that I'm finishing up now. So, it's actually easier I'd say, unless you don't care for writing papers.
