what is life like in the day of a nurse?

people tell me that being a nurse means job security and none. I am passionate about helping people, very passionate about helping people better themselves. People are telling me to become a nurse for the money and the job secuirity. I'm kinda thinking of special education Because I love helping people better themselves and I am passionate about helpIng kids/teens .. I hate blood,ring worms and etc , what is a day in the life of a nurse so that I can know the truth about musing ..
Hi Wot chick-A day in the life of a nurse is very different depending on what specialty or setting the nurse works in. Before I became a nurse I did some job shadows of nurses in different settings. You might want to see if you can try this. It was very enlightening to see how the nurses' daily activities varied. I also did some volunteer work in a rehab hospital as a pre-nursing student. Or you can maybe interview some nurses in the areas of interest. Good luck to you!
