Online Nurse Courses?

I just wanted to know if these online nursing programs I hear so much about are real.
Are they actually accredited?
Could you be specific? Easy to find out about accreditation by looking them up on the internet.
No not really. I just mean in general. Have any nurses on this site taken an online course for nursing before?
