It all depends on the type of patients I get and what goes on during a shift. I wish my orientation was longer as I still feel clueless to certain things but I ask enough questions and find information when I need it. The staff are very supportive and my manager is thoroughly involved with her staff so it makes me feel comfortable that I can turn to someone for assistance. How long did you stay on your first unit before trying something new? I am so new to it and just decided to answer the questions but I hope to stay for a while but in the future I do want to get my masters and teach.

I do have the advantage that I worked there as a CNA, so I knew the residents, which made it easier. How long did you stay on your first unit before trying something new? I don't plan on leaving anytime soon.
