Help from Nurse Navigators

I recently applied for a position as cancer nurse navigator here in my local community. I have some knowledge about what the role of the navigator consists of. I was asked/instructed by one of the persons that will be doing my interview to bone up on nurse navigators. Can any one help me out? I know that as a nurse navigator, I will be the patients advocate, book of information, support and much much more. Thanks
What's a nurse navigator? I'm guessing it has nothing to do with orienteering.
