Can I take classes for both cna and cma at two different schools at the same time.

I am debating what to do as far as getting my foot in the medical field door. I start online classes at keiser university next month. i have read and researched on cna and cma and both have good and bad points. I think the only bad point with a cma is that where I live(South Carolina) it will be hard finding work. With CNA, it will be easy to find a job here in south carolina but i wanna do more than just care for the patients. I wanna get my hands in on the receptionist part of the job as well. But what Im wondering is...If I am starting my classes @keiser University will I be able to start CNA classes at a different school at the same time. I want to be certified in both just in case I cant find a job in one or the other. i received financial aid for Keiser and i got a letter from the other school as well for financial aid. Will I get into trouble if I use the money from the other school (if any) to take CNA classes if I have already accepted the financial aid for Keiser University
No reason why you can't do both at the same time as long as you don't let your schedules conflict. But the financial aid part of the question, I don't know. You might be restricted from receiving two financial aid packages at the same time. That is a question to pose to the financial aid people at both schools.

Both programs are demanding and time-consuming, I see you setting youself up for failure if you try to do both at the same time.Pick one, here in Michigam CNA position is a better has a higher chance of employment.Good luck!:redpinkhe

In my state, you cannot enroll in a CMA course unless you're a certified CNA. You can, however enroll in a MAT course.

You cannot get federal financial aid from two schools, but if you receive an excess from one school you could use it to pay for the other.

Not in my state. Not sure if that is the same every where, but here in Oregon you have to have your CNA for 6 months and have logged x amount of hours worked before moving on to CMA. Check the requirements first, plus you may have to cross over as a CNA where you work so you should have some experience as one first.
