Can someone explain this job requirement for hospital?Rating: (votes: 0) I don't understand why a pt sitter job would require any experience? You just sit and watch at- risk pts! You need to be able to recognize when to get assistance from the nurse or aide, but that isn't rocket science. I would just go to the interview, impress them with your personality and appearance and see what happens . Comment:
Depends on how many applicants they get-like with any job. Good luck, may the competition be paltry...

My father didn't work in nursing, but he did work in human resources and hiring. The job description requirements (other than things like mandatory licenses, etc.) are a wish list... sure, they'd LOVE to have someone apply who had all that... but if you show up, show the requisite intelligence, and they think you can handle the job, it should be yours. Good luck!!Elisabeth Halligan, RN

Go to the interview with a positive attitude. You might want to think of some instances when your handling of responsibility and accountability were tested.

If they invited you for an interview, then I'd say you have a chance to get the job.

I wouldn't worry about it. The fact that you got an interview shows they are interested, regardless of your experience.

You can let them know you are pursing the nursing studies,it is a good match for both you and the hospital.Wishing you good luck with the interview. Please update uswhen you can...

Go to the interview and be yourself. If this job is meant to be yours, then it will be. like someone mentioned earlier, those listed requirements are the hospitals' "wish list." Good luck in your nursing study!
