Kindred Hospital

I already have a job as a RN but trying to get a second job to pick up some shifts on my days off at another hospital. I did the first interview already and been called for second one. I will have a second interview with a panel of 8 people (from Directors/Business office personnel to nurse to pharmacist and socialworker and other managers) which to me sounds very excessive. I have interviewed with managers individually for my previous jobs but what is this interview with social worker/business personnel, god sakes i am just a nurse???? Anyone had this kind of experience. Has anyone worked at Kindred Hospital. Please shed some light how it is working there??? Should I reconsider applying some where else.
Hello. I know you posted this a long time ago, but I was curious to see how the interview went. I have a panel interview tomorrow at Kindred and was wondering what to expect. I'm a new grad nurse, and I am very nervous about what to expect. Thanks!

Kindreds are great hospitals, specializing in TRUE skilled nursing! The skills needed for these acute-long-term settings are vast. And they have a philosphy of care which requires that their nurses fit into their model. They may even give you a personality test, if you can believe that. They want to retain retain retain. So they just want to make sure you are a good fit. Don't be freaked. Read some Jean Watson. You'll get the idea. Caring is something which can't be taught. Only procedure and practice can be taught. Either you really get the philosophy of caring or not. It's really hard to teach. Very spiritual.

They ask you a series of questions on behaviors such as name a time someone let you know they were having trouble. What did you do about it? What was the outcome? Be prepared to cite specific examples about how you've been an asset at work, what your hardest decision was, why you should be hired there, etc
