RN Liability Insurance Questions

:spin: Hi..I am new grad RN...I am curious about Liability Insurance for RNs.

I know in school we were required to have it through "Nurses Service Organization"...as an RN employed at a hospital do I need to have this coverage?

If so...where do I buy it?

There are very few places that I have seen that "require" liability insurance. BUT... it is very wise to have this safety net.Many employers policies do not cover nurses named as individuals in suits or have very limited coverage.Get your own and keep it. It is not a great deal of money for a basic policy. And your can deduct it if you itemize. Good look!fgoff
