What a relief! I was afraid this would be another should I or shouldn't I post that seems to float by every few weeks. Glad the OP understands the only wise answer is to get some.

I am in Texas. NSO stopped offering the $1 million policies in this state several years ago.Liability insurance through NSO costs over $200 per year in Texas and will only provide about $300,000 worth of aggregate coverage.

I just renewed my NSO and it was $110

The other company specializing in liability insurance for health professionals, besides NSO, that gets mentioned most often is Marsh (www.proliability.com).

I renewed my NSO plan in January. It cost $110.

I am really amazed that NSO reduced their coverage and raised the annual premium for Texas. I wonder why they have done that, and didn't realize this liability insurance was so state specific.

I was able to get professional liability insurance under an umbrella policy with my home owners' insurance - it costs right around $50 per year for $1m in coverage. I'm insured through Erie Insurance for my home and cars. When I got this insurance, it had not been available in every state yet.
