I especially enjoyed the line, "HR professionals picked health care as the best bet for job security. Nurses are receiving the most employment offers in this category."

Right. Interview experienced nurses who have been laid off and can't get a job.
do not understand what degrees has to do with your post, but when we hire we prefer BSN

Quote from madameflychicaHi Classicdame,I've been trying to get this question answered, I am working on my ADN. I already have a BS and would like to move on to get a DNP. Will my BS help at all with finding a job or is it better for me to stop and get a BSN along the way? Thanks.

People are idiots if they think that there are careers/jobs that have job security. There is no such thing as job security. I see those stupid articles on yahoo all the time and they always say healthcare is the best field for job security especially nursing. Hasnt this recession taught people that job security doesn't exist? Good luck to all of those especially nurses who are job hunting. The economy is in the toilet and who knows what will happen when the new health care reform kicks in.

I hear this over and over too. I am an LPN and would really like to go back for my RN but I read on here so many out of work RN's that I wonder if I should bother.I would have to get more student loans, and that is something I do not wish to jump into right now.But on the flip side, a person probably has a better chance of getting a job in healhtcare than OTHER areas.
