Has anyone read Conti-O'hare's books?

I was introduced to some of her ideas today by a psych nurse and thought they were wonderful.

Upon some google and database searches, I checked out her own website and her publications. Now I'm rather disappointed. Not much new ideas there, not to mention I am put off by the fact that she's selling herself as a consultant. The concept of "wounded healer" is an ancient one, and other key terms such as trauma, meanings, transcendence, etc, reek of regurgitation (let's see... Judith Herman? Viktor Frankl?)

I am in the process of discovering the field of nursing theories (which I initially thought were just nonsense and starting to see not all of them are...) and yes I tend to approach it with skepticism. That's why I'd appreciate any input, and broaden my horizons.
have not read those authors. I also appreciate nursing theories more as I stay in practice. I like the clarity of thought, the development of concepts that evolve into behaviors - intereseting to me. My fav is Orlando's Dynamic Nurse to Patient Relationship. The nursing process developed from this theory, although "nursing process" is not mentioned in her writings. I have everything she published. She had a good sense of humor too, which I find refreshing.

I have actually read several. I was considering psych nursing but after reading the books, although they were good, I decided psych just wasn't for me so I went to L&D and not sure it's going to work out either?
