Charge nurse resource binder contents

i work in a psych hospital and we have a few charge nurses who dont really specialize in psych but have very good managerial skills. sadly, our workplace only provided a one day and sometimes no orientation at all as charge nurse. we have very limited resources, and communication between management and nursing staff is very poor. in fact it feels like the management are putting a lot of pressure and putting more workload towards nurses but provide very little training and resources. our policies and procedure book is not updated in 5 yrs and the only way we get to know abt changes is through loads of memo with no clarification via staff meeting because they dont want to pay for training.

anyway, for the charge nurses in acute care and psych settings, what are good contents for a charge nurse binder and how to organize?
