Graduating in December 2013 . . HELP!Rating: (votes: 0) Next, how much is the starting pay for a RN in Chicago? Thanks! ![]() Yes, apply to be a CNA or volunteer. I think it'd be best to volunteer for a hospital (if you can't get in as a CNA/tech) than it would be to work as a CNA at a nursing home if your dream is to get into a hospital. I graduated in Dec 2012, finding a job with no experience was very, very difficult. Comment:
any experience is better than none and working in a facility might help you network. HOWEVER, your priorty now is to graduate then get licensed. Without the license you are not marketable anyway. Make sure you can do both. Many do, but it is a personal thing.
